Templates
Templates let you apply pre-made screenshot designs to your project in one click. You can also save your own designs as reusable templates.
Browse Templates
Click "Templates" in the left sidebar to open the template browser. The window shows a grid of available templates organized by category:
- All Templates — everything available
- My Templates — templates you saved yourself
- By Style — Clean, Bold, Dark
- By Format — filter by device (iPhone 6.9", iPad, Android...)
- Premium — premium-only templates (requires an active membership)
Use the search bar to filter templates by name. You can adjust the grid size with the zoom slider at the bottom.
Each template card shows a preview image, the template name, format badges (iPhone, iPad, Android), and a star icon if it's premium. Templates that contain multiple screenshots display a count badge and a carousel preview — hover over the card and use the left/right arrows to browse all screenshots in the template.
Apply a Template
Double-click on a template to apply it. A dialog asks how you want to insert it:
- Replace Selected — applies the first template screenshot's style (background, text, bezels, layers) to your currently selected screenshot, then inserts the remaining template screenshots after it
- Insert After Selected — inserts all template screenshots after your current selection
- Insert at End — appends all template screenshots at the end of your project
The template automatically adds any device formats it supports to your project.
You can have a maximum of 10 screenshots per project. If applying a template would exceed this limit, extra screenshots are skipped.
Templates Command Menu
Use the Templates command menu (in the menu bar) for quick access to template actions:
- Save Screenshot as Template… — save the currently selected screenshot as a template
- Save All Screenshots as Template… — save all screenshots in the project as a single multi-screenshot template
- Browse Templates — open the template browser
- Browse My Templates — open the template browser filtered to your saved templates
Save Your Own Template
You can save one or more screenshots as a reusable template.
Save a Single Screenshot
Right-click on a screenshot in the canvas or in the left sidebar list, then select "Save as Template". You can also use the command menu: Templates > Save Screenshot as Template…
Save All Screenshots
To save your entire project as a single template, use the command menu: Templates > Save All Screenshots as Template… This is useful when you want to reuse a full set of screenshots (e.g. a complete App Store page design) across projects.
Save Dialog Options
A dialog opens with:
- Template Name — give your template a name
- Preview — a rendered preview of your screenshot(s). When saving multiple screenshots, the count is displayed as a badge
- Options:
- Include background — save the background color, gradient, or image
- Include text content — save the actual text (otherwise only the text style is kept)
- Include layers — save layers (emoji, badge, notification banner, etc.)
- Include layer content — save layer images and content (disabled if layers are excluded)
Click "Save" and your template appears under "My Templates" in the browser.
Manage Your Templates
Your saved templates are stored locally on your Mac. To delete one, right-click on it in the template browser and select "Delete Template".
Built-in templates cannot be deleted.
